SLEEP

 

 Hi friends, 

 

  For those of you who asked, here is the information I received about sleep from my request on instagram! It was really fun to hear all of the different responses! 

 

I have had success trying some of these myself. I am attaching some links as well that have given me some good information about sleep for my personal research! Let me know what ends up being helpful!

 

I have added and provided links to a bunch of the things that have helped me, or things I have found when studying! Click away! 

 Oils/tinctures: 

Lavender (put on bottom of feet and chest before bed)

Lemongrass and Lavender Mixed 

Diffuse oils into the air (recipe here)

***Cedarwood, lavender, frankincense (put on bottom of the feet and spine//I made a small roller bottle of this so it’s easier to apply!)

Passion flower tincture 

California poppy tincture

Calm

***Headspace (specifically sleepcasts on this app)

Insight timer app

Muse app

 

Podcasts:

***“Nothing much happens”

***Ben Greenfield podcast

 

Books:

“Why we Sleep” by Matthew Walker Phd

 

Things you can take: 

**CBD oil! I just started taking this right before bed, and it’s been very effective for me! (can also be found on amazon)

Benadryl 

***Natural Calm (extremely effective for a lot of people! Can be found also on amazon)

Maijuana, edibles

***Sleepytime Tea

1/4th Unisom 

Liquid IV Sleep 

 

Other:

 

Intermittent fasting (dont eat after 8, go 12-16 hours without eating, cut out processed sugar)

 

Grounding/earthing (Pillow)

 

***Warm Bath

 

***Exercise daily

 

***prayer

 

Moodlight

 

***Breathing (4 seconds in, hold for 7 breathe out for 8, repeat)

 

Pillow spray

 

No carbs before bed

 

No blue light (screens) 1 hour before bed

***(Blue light glasses have helped me tremendously!)

 

***Melatonin: got a lot of suggestions for this, the one I found works best in the liquid kind that you put under your tongue. (can also get this on amazon)
